t is with much pride that we present to you the second number of our magazine Sans Frontières.
We hope that it is to you an source of information on politics and economics, and a tool for
valorization of the various expressions of our cultural richnesses and, at the same time,
a guide of reference and useful information.
Since the publication of the first number last March, we received several comments,
to congratulate us, to encourage us, and of which certain case, to bring suggestions to us.
In the heading "Letters to the Editor" of this number, it pleases to us to publish some letters
from readers. Also let us recall that many magazines and newspapers, like "The Gazette" of Montreal,
"Actualités CDN" and "Jeune Afrique" spoke in eulogistic terms about our magazine.
To train a team of professional collaborators, such remarkable talents, which achieved an
extraordinary work voluntarily, did not prove easy task. As, it should be recognized as the
magazine Sans Frontières would never have been carried out without the initiative of Alliance
Canada-Tunisia, as well as the support and the encouragement of the givers and the expressly
named advertisers on page 4 of the first number.
Of course, with a budget starting "zero" and one new team of drafting and collaborators
voluntary, one had to expect some errors and imperfections in the first number. This is why, we ask you
to excuse us and we ensure you that measures were taken so that this problem is not repeated.
In order to make it possible to our readers to know our intentions, it is essential here,
to define our objectives and to specify our concerns.
Sans Frontières is a non-profit-making independent magazine, with the service for business,
science, art, education and society. It supports the bringing together of different cultures
and encourages universalization with the
|
service of humanity and not the reverse. It also tries, to support the fight against racism, sexism and the integrism of any kind,
to promote peace, freedom, democracy, tolerance, and to sensitize for the good causes.
It is true that in the of this end of century, the fulgurating development of the advanced
technologies and telecommunications opened the world, at the point where the borders lost
their right to exist. It is as true, as many countries, businesses people and workers benefitted
from economic universalization. However, it is necessary to have the head not to realize
elsewhere that the cruel reality of today obliges us to look at the other side of the medal.
It is enough to think of the volatility of the financial markets, the unemployment of the mass,
the fluidity of the capital, the environmental pollution, the increase in fatal diseases, the
proliferation of criminality, the rise of racism and the violence of the integrisms. For these
examples, it is necessary to add the problems of the extreme poverty which affects a quarter of
the humanity, and analphabetism which touches a billion of the inhabitants of this planet, to
realize that the ground does not turn out badly for everyone.
We are conscious that there is not a miracle solution to solve a good part of these short-term
problems, and the political leaders are not the only ones able to make. We are as conscious of
the fine words and the declarations of intent do not change anything with hard realities.
What we wish, it is an international solidarity, to which all those are implied who are animated
by the will to improve the lot the most stripped of in the world, as well as the fate of our
planet, in order to find an effective solution and fast to control universalization carefully
and to build a better world.
NOTE : The direction of Sans Frontières excuses delay publication of the second number
which is due to a stealing of material at its infographe. Thank you for your comprehension.
